This volcano cam gives you a live view of Mount Vesuvius in Italy.  The webcam points at this volcano from Naples, Italy.  This is the only volcano in Europe that has erupted in the last 100 years and is considered to be one of the world’s most dangerous volcanoes since there million people currently near it.  You can see Mt. Vesuvius on this cam with a static image or streaming video.

This cam comes to you from Rio de Janiero, Brazil and features a breathtaking live view of Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio.  Sugarloaf Mountain is 1,299 feet high and its name comes from its resemblance to concentrated refined loaf sugar.  You can also occasionally watch hummingbirds feeding at a bird feeder on this cam as well.  This web cam updates every few seconds.

Flatirons Cam in Boulder, Colorado

The Rockefeller Christmas Tree is up for the 2007 Christmas season in New York City and NBC has a live web cam where you can see the famous Christmas Tree as well as watch people ice skating, walking around or simply enjoying the scenery.  This is sort of a temporary landmark, but I think it’s famous enough to qualify as a landmark.  This webcam has live streaming video with sound.
